I was shown the specs on the octane ratings , Because ethanol burns hotter the refineries can get away with artificially boosting the octane ratings on the gasoline that they mix it with. They use an inferior quality ,low octane, Cheap fuel but your car's engine is not fooled. Fact is, Ethanol together with CRAP gas reduces power and your millage by approx. 12-14% ! This decrease in millage not only cancels out any environmental benefits, but the cheap gas and the ethanol damage your engine parts, valves, rings etc. further reducing power and millage over time. So, not oil are the oil Co.s getting a tax break that if repealed could pay for free health care for each and every American for 10 yrs, they are getting ethanol that is subsidized by YOU the tax payer to dilute your gas by 10% . At 10% ,if you have a 20 gallon gas tank you are getting 2 full gallons of ethanol with every fill up. Why ,if all I have said is true, are we still forced to burn ethanol in our cars? Well, with every fill up, you the tax payer are paying for (on average) 2 Gallons of fuel Xs every car in the USA = Billions in free clear profit for Big Oil . The oil industry clears over $750,000,000 in PROFITS EVERY DAY!
