So first things first im from the UK ages 19, aiming to join the Fleet Air Arm as a pilot. I have gone to a POC course and was initially put off by the whole "away from home" idea, but then thought about it and weighed up my odds and decided overall i would enjoy it.
Anyway the main concern i have is im 6"1 and quite skinny, Atm i can get in 30 Push ups and around 30/40 sit ups depending on my tiredness 40 in the morning and around 30 at night (10/11pm). My running i would say is fine but i would need to work on it again as i haven't done much running recently and my diet has gone into the fatty food section (not ott though).
Anyway my friends are all like "wow you're way to skinny don't bother" my family are saying "it's like a prison sentence you'll hate it". Well i won't i know i wont i love flying and want to server my country, but the whole "you're way too skinny" is really getting on my nerves and wanna know what shall i do. I do eat a lot generally, like i said recently lost my apetite and ate some crappy foods, but in general i think its my metabolism i mean even the dr had said so.
My grades are fine i mean 6 A levels 11 GCSE's and a National Diploma. I've been successfull in quite a large amount of areas in life musically, academically etc. But my heart is set on aircraft and the forces. I have decided i only wish to do the Air Corp and If i do fail i will either go into Aviation Engineering. As my passion is aircraft, so i won't detour and decide to do something like marines.

So please any tips would be great for a skinny guy who really has a passion for flying and the forces!

Your weight has nothing to do with the service, As long as you are HEALTHY, and have Stamina.

Some people are built skinny.
When you go into BT, Basic Training. They will train you to be ready.
