I asked this earlier but didn't phrase my question well enough so I will delete that one and try to ask more clearly. My husband is 29 and he currently takes 50mg metoprolol for palpitations and .5 mg of xanax twice a day. He smokes cigarettes but does not drink or use drugs. He has been sick for 4 months now and been through a battery of test and no doctor can find out what is wrong with him. He has had a 24 hour urine test, heart echo, cbc, and a thyroid test. All of which came back normal except his white blood cell count came back high once. So far he has endocarditis ruled out (no fever or murmur), pheochromocytoma, and hyperthyroid. All of these test are starting to add up. It would be nice to know what to suggest the doctors do next. Does anyone know what may be the cause of the following symptoms?

1. He has pinpoint red spots that keep showing up on his arm some will fade others will not.
2. His muscles ache all over at different times of the day.
3. He is very irritable.
4. He has a headache around his eyes that keeps changing sides
5. His neck and left shoulder are stiff
6. He has bouts of diarrhea followed by severe constipation
7. He has left sided chest pain wrote it off as chest wall pain after his cardio said heart was ok
8.He has lost interest in things he used to enjoy and can not pay attention
9, His feet and legs keep pulsating
10. Occasionally his hands will go numb for no reason
11. Keeps having ringing in his ears at random
12. When he lays down he can hear pulses in his ears that are not in rhythm with his heart
13. Sometimes has rapid heart rate
14. Has a sore throat off and on
15. Lymph nodes under armpits have been swollen for months peasized
16. Occasionally has splinter hemorrhages in fingers.
16. Should read occasionally has splinter hemorrhages under fingernails.
