so i want to change my plan with telus right now, but i'm not sure if i can without paying a lot of fees.
i currently have an htc desire that i got at a deal just one year ago for free instead of paying the full price of the phone, but on a 3 year contract on a plan of at least 50 bucks a month. first of all, i heard that going to a cheaper plan might mean terminating the contract, and requiring me to pay the fee, so i wasn't sure if that was a viable option, since i still have 2 years to go in the contract. but also, because i got the deal on the phone because of the requirement of having a 50-dollar data plan, i didn't know if i needed to pay extra for the phone itself because i'd like to go to a cheaper plan.
ideally, i'd like to switch to a blackberry plan (while providing my own unlocked blackberry to use), but i want to see if i can even change to a cheaper plan without having to pay ridiculous fees/costs.
if anyone has any idea or had any experience even remotely similar to the one i'm having, please let me know!
also, if changing the plan isn't a good option, i'd still like to know if switching to a blackberry phone but using my current generic plan is a good idea, or if i should just keep using my android phone. please share your thoughts!
