Want to buy a winch for my Jeep, any advice?

Run the Chicago Electric 10K winch on my Jeep. Got it at Harbor Freight. Works ok. Warn is a good winch but is pricey. HF winch is pretty much the same as the Mile Marker.
 
You get what you pay for. Warn my be expensive but they are the best. You can get very inexpensive ones but they may break the first pull. You can get away with a cheaper one if you go wheeling with a buddy and don't really need a winch but if you go alone you don't want to get stuck because your winch is burnt out. An 8,000lb winch should be good for your jeep.
 
warn winches are good but WAY over priced. go with a mile marker, they are cheaper ,and still very reliable. plus they usually have a "buy one, and get this" thing type sell!!! when i bought my 8k pound winch, i got an atv winch for free with it. so i bolted it to the floor in the garage and now its used as an engine hoist/ hoist-a-top. they usually have the best deals.
