Want more performance out of my 93 Pontiac Sunbird?

Hi I recently got a 93 Pontiac Sunbird as my first car for $300 at an auction and to my suprise it runs and drives fine here are my quick 2 questions.

I noticed the only problem so far is that after the car warms up then gets shut off it does drip a little bit of oil but not while its running only after being shut off where could the oil be coming from so I can fix it before worrying about performance.

Now then the car definetely has some pick up to it with a 3.1L V6 and is a light 2 door car with a convirtable top so it has some pick up and go... but I'm just wondering what I could buy for it to get it to go a little faster without a big hassle and without putting a HUGE dent in my wallet.

I was pointed towards K & N Air filters they are not only going to add 20 HP estimated and its not hard to install and its not hundreds of dollars.

I'm only 16 so I'm not looking to run any serious setup just little stuff that can boost the HP a little bit for that extra kick no turbos or nos etc.

Thanks for the help best answer and 5 stars to first good descriptive answer.

most likely suspect of the oil it the head gaskets leaking fairly cheap to fix if done yourself if you know what your are doing but the K N filters dont even come close to 20 hp...get a ram air intake or/and exhaust to help the car breath and exhale better unless you want to get NOS...about $500 and will give you a temporary boot of about 75 horse or so and nitrious oxide is fairly cheap too
