Walking the dog: Would you rather?

I walk my dog a couple times a day everyday and prefer to walk him myself. The rest of my family in the house NEVER walk the dog. They basically enjoy playing, cuddling, and petting the dog but have no interest in contributing in exercising, feeding, grooming, training, etc. (typical, right?) Sometimes you have to do something and can't be there at that time. I dread asking them to walk the dog cause they let it bark, pull, sniff, poop, jump, etc. and really don't know how to properly control a serious dog situation, BUT it's no walk or a uncontrolled walk.

So, would you rather have your dog NOT get a walk in it's regular routine, OR have a family member walk it knowing they don't know how to properly handle a dog?

I noticed after walks with other members, my dog is more edgy and riled up at little things for a couple hours. He's a small dog so everybody can physically control him. It's the brains I'm worried about. :P He's very well trained and heels to everyone but certain things can set him off IF control is not maintained.
