In all the video’s I’ve seen of robots walking ASIMO etc, it seems that the majority of these robots are programmed to walk on flat level surfaces using big bulky square feet, this seems to be the equivalent of “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day...”.
Wouldn’t it be better to program an android with goals and prerequisites with the ability to learn, it would take a long time for the android to stand and walk but you could then copy the knowledge to duplicate androids, the equivalent of “Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life”?
