walk normal after cast removed?

after getting my cast off (yesterday) my ankle feels dead. it doesnt hurt unless i twist it or move it a certain way to walking doesnt feel like a problem. the problem is i still walk as i would if i was still in my cast but my muscles feel dead. my ankle is still swollen...this all seems normal but when will my ankle gain its strenght back to walk normal again
 
You have lost your muscles simple as. I had physio for first time today as i dislocated my kneecap three weeks ago i had a full leg cast on and i have lost about an inch of muscle and i am finding difficult to walk. You should see physio the exercises do really help. Hope this helps x
