Wait, you guys don't actually think that people should buy dogs from breeds they

don't want do you? My first dog was a Samoyed which I admit I brought from a pet store, the breeders were hard to work with and I had zero tolerance for them treating me like trash. Now that I look back on it (dog lasted about 12 years), it was worth wasting the time and working extra hard to get a breed that I wanted rather than the one people wanted me to get.

I find it pointless, if someone wants a dog breed and are stuck on that breed, there is no point in forcing them to get another breed. Personally, I would not buy from a reputable breeder because of their "we are better than everyone" attitude and they are just hard people to work with. I would much rather spend my money getting the breed I want rather than getting the breed others want me to get.

You guys don't get it, at the end of the day, it is that person's house. I currently own Two Samoyeds (both rescue dogs) and a Husky (shelter), I would not spend a penny of my salary or a fraction of my time to work with a Labrador because I don't want that breed period.

Why should people be deterred from getting a breed they want? I personally want to know. Do you guys really want America to be a country where people can't even get the freedom to own their favorite dog breed? Heck, if someone can afford it, take care of it and provide for it they have every right to have it.
