w810i vs 6300 vs 5300...pls help asap!!

hi everyone!...im in a major dilemma...have to choose a phone to buy by tommorow!
lemme give a little bit of an intro - i love nokia fones...they r user-friendly,reliable and sturdy...ive gone frm nokia to seimens (big mistake) and hav had a sony for the past 2-3yrs, and now im in major need of a new one...

my needs : good camera, great music ,long battery, sturdy (im accident-prone )

i have a limit on how much i can spend, and these are my options :

Nokia 6300 (love it!awesome screen...gud camera, thin, light, stylish- but the battery!!all posts say it sucks!)

Nokia 5300 (like the looks, great music, average camera, but ppl say the slider mechanism gets bad easily...and battery is average)

SE w810i...yes id prefer the 610i but not in stores here yet...w810i seems to have everything...2mp camera with flash, great music, longest battery , quadband, but not stylish enuff..big n bulky....but its sony!and i know thats not a good enuff reson not to buy it, but anyone help me here?iv just heard to many ppl complain abt SE and their joysticks/usability/unable to add programs etc....can anyone gimme a quik answer pls?
thanks

As a 6300 owner, I can attest to the fact that most of the published formal reviews on the unit are pretty accurate. Wonderfully built device; the metal backplate gives it a nice weight and a very sturdy, solid feel. The camera is, however, pretty subpar. There's no flash for one, and even in good light, the pictures come out very grainy despite setting the Camera application to use the highest quality JPG it can (least compression). If a nice camera is your concern, the W810i, despite being a year or two old now, might be better for you.

hey guys..thanx for all your advice...but when i went to the store and held the 6300 in my hand, i had to buy it!i knew abt the battery and the camera quality but still cudnt resist!...
so i have already started noticing its poor battery...first charge barely lasted 1 1/2 day, but the second charge seems a bit longer...hopefully itll progressivly increase.my seller said i cud exchange it in a few days if i still wasnt happy with it, so ill continue testing it with my normal type of usage...also, for other 6300 users out there, he said that bcoz the 6300 has a metal back, without any insulation or distance from the battery, it makes the battery discharge faster...and so he put a paper in btw my batt and cover....now im sure this is hogwash and he's yanking my chain, but i love the 6300 so much im gonna see if it helps!...
other thing to note...6300 has great sound quality, but the volume even on max is really low...guess its not for ppl hu are hard-of-hearing...
thanx guys

hey Yash..thanks for the ray of hope...i pray ur right...still wondering if i shud trade it back in for 6233/w810i...dont like the looks of either tho..so shud i be charging it longer, doing sum battery-saving things? but the media player still drains it majorly..and it gets sooooo hot after just 1/2talktime!

I've been getting about three days on the last few charges on my 6300 with low to moderate usage (10-15 SMS per day, 30-45 minutes of talk, about 50kb of EDGE data, syncing via Bluetooth, snoozing the alarm clock 4-5 times before getting up ). You can stretch battery life by setting every power saving and sleep feature to on, and setting things like auto keypad lock to a very short time interval to lock your keypad and dim the screen. You can also not use animated wallpaper and screensavers, though I have an animated wallpaper. If you're in a good coverage area, set your phone to Manual network selection so that it isn't constantly hunting for a stronger carrier signal, or switching networks.

I don't find the phone gets abnormally hot during use. My BlackBerry Pearl got just as hot, and that was an all plastic case. I'll use a headset if I'm on the phone for more than a couple minutes (wired or Bluetooth).

I suspect though, that if you're primarily using it as an MP3 player, you're going to be burning through the battery a lot faster than most. Not many ways to get around that short of getting an external battery pack (third party, I think Energizer even makes one). I'll keep using a separate DAP until a truly excellent converged device comes along (ala. iPhone version 2).

Overall, battery life of the 6300 is ok, average at best. The price you pay for a thin unit; no room for a beefier battery. Nokia could do some more things with the firmware to improve battery life (I'd like user adjustable brightness), but we'll have to wait for things like that.
