How to use this? Is this necessary?

"Update Service. Connect now?" keeps on popping on my phone.

How to go about it?
 
If you feel that it is not necessary, then don't update.

You can disable it from asking you by going through settings, update service, then reminder.
 
you need cabe and program from sonyericsson page, update over wap doesent work, I do not why!???!!!! :)
 
Update firmware doesn't work for me at all and i don't understand why

I tried to update firmware over the the air. after downloaded and the phone was trying to update, i got update failed message.

I tried to update using the PC by downloading Update_Service_Setup-2.8.5.12.exe
installed fine on windows vista...but when i try to open the program, nothing happens. Can't update firmware

any other options or ideas guys?
