Hi,

My current phone is the w600i; overall, I'd have to say it's one of the best phones out there. However, something bothers me about this phone. The Sound Recorder feature says "Make recordings and save them in your phone, including during calls." However when I use this feature during calls it does not work. Well, it pops up for about a second to indicate it's recording but a second later stops recording. When I check the sound files there is a recording made, but it does not play. I have tried pressing different buttons to see if it might work; once or twice a file was actually playable by about 2 seconds. So I'm not sure what's wrong with my Record Sound feature; it seems to work fine outside of calls. I am pretty sure I've had this problem since I've had this phone (5 months) but now I really want to use the record feature during calls. Do you have any idea what may be causing this malfunction?

Thank you

The only possible cause I can think of is if your running low on memory. Try deleting a picture or something.

Well, I've had this problem even when I've had 200+ MB of memory.. and it works when I use it outside of a call. But thanks for the suggestion.

Or perhaps your provider or the area you live in dosn't allow it, as it is illegal to record calls in some places. The reason you probably still get a couple of seconds is because it takes the network that long to detect your recording. However the phone was designed to be able to do this so it thinks you stopped recording and saves it. Just a thought.
