Lets see, total decimation of states rights and using slavery to justify a war based on federal control and political gain vs. using the "freeing the Iraqi people from a dictatorship" excuse to justify a war based on world power and political gain...
Hrmn... it seems like a toss up to me.
Both presidents preyed off of emotions at the time, and immediate gratification for favor from the masses, and history loves Lincoln for it, well... unless you actually do some studying. Maybe history will look as kindly upon GW.

Lincoln put people in prison just for disagreeing with his war poilicy and even banished some to live with the south since they had spoken out about letting the south go. If Lincoln was President today, people like Michael Moore and half of Hollywood would be in Gitmo or dropped off in Afghanistan/Iraq to ive and told not to come back.

If any side used slavery to justify war it was the south. They seceded out of fear of abolition (among other things) and fired the first shots of the Civil War by attacking a US Army outpost in South Carolina.
