vx8500 chocolate cricket problems vx8500pp

I have a vx8500pp chocolate phone that I have flashed to cricket but I am having trouble getting the the mms working. I tried following the vx9900 method with no luck. Once I change the PRL and mms settings in the nv edit menu, the camera will no longer take pictures. I have tried this on two 8500pp phones now with no luck. The camera will come up but the picture will not take. Any help would be appreciated.

To fix the camera problem, go to menu, settings and tool, phone settings, security, enter last four of your nuraber (unless you changed the code), and do a reset default. That fixes that problem on the VX8300 after using the 9900 dll. You have to reset default after every time you use the 9900 dll, or at least the last time. I don't get that issue on Chocolates much, but that should do it.

As far as your settings go, double check everything by reading the phone again and see if anything changed. I've done about 4 chocolates and got it to work.

cant you just use the 8500 dll for the phone instead of the 9900 dll?....i have never done one so i dont know just wondering

I figured out the VX8300 with the 9900 dll, not the 8300, so I did the same with the chocolate when i got one, but i suppose the 8500 dll could be used.
