I recently got an 8300 from someone who upgraded their verizon phone and I got everything working on it with evdo and I have to admit its fast. The latency seems to be completely gone vs the 1x. I wished that my treo 650 would have supported but hey I will upgrade soon. (ppc6800). Thankyou guys for posting the information needed. I have to say because of the website it has made phones quite a hobby.

BTW I tried uploading the 1050 and EVDO wouldnt work so I did OTA programming and EVDO flies!
Speakeasy tests about 768 down and 100 up in Thornton, CO..
I enjoy it with my Ibook.. I am even using it to make this post. (no internet at my buddies house)
