VX10000 (Voyager) Text to speech issue.

I am trying to take advantage of my voyagers text to speech to read back my text messages and I have my settings right or atleast I think I do, I have "Autoview" set to on+readout and autoplay set to on but it doesn't read it to me. Any ideas?

I never saw it work and I am using the v07 firmware which I upgraded it to from v05. Is there a dictionary file which could have gotten wiped during the reflash or blocked when I modified the BREW settings? If that's the case I would love to have the files to make it work :D
 
wait... does this phone do text to speech too? i've been looking for something that does text to speech and speech to text... so far i've only found phones that do one or the other.
 
Thanks for the replies. I have tried the space button before and the speech icon above the text message goes from a static image to an animated image which I assume means it's trying but nothing. That's why I believe there are file(s) missing from when I upgraded the firmware.


Yes it does text to speech.
