...traditional buses? I own a 1974 bus and absolutely love it! I am considereing the possibility of a partial conversion into a camper (I am not all that concerned with electrical outlets, more with sleeping arrangements, but any info is great!), but I am having trouble finding infromation about the conversion process. Basically, how does the bed in the camper work? Would a conversion be possible? -- the back trunk area on the normal van is above the engine compartment, do the beds in the camper somehow slide on top of that? etc. any help is greatly appreciated!

Im glag you want to convert your transporter into a camper, ive been working on bay campers for a long time. Ive only seen one conversion out of a hundred busses. Where the cargo space behind ontp of the engine is where half the bed is, the pull out bed (z bed) makes it connect to the cargo half. Cabinets go on right or left side and an upper cargo space ontop. Ice box or actual fridge, but real fridge models have gas tanks for a stove as well. And i can go on for days. If you dont want it to be an original interior, its possible. I have millions of parts for a camper converstion, mostly for a 76 but there the same campers. If you do need help and are considering it let me know. Thanks
