VW to buy Ducati?

haha...i used to have an 08 R32, didnt really have much problems...i'd get a vw owned ducati anyday...ducati would still be making their own bikes just with more R&D now...its not like vw is gonna manufacture bikes

I have an Audi so I am not trying to talk shit or anything. If you actually looked at reliability ratings rather than your anecdotal evidence you would know, they haven't exactly been at the top of the list. Though they have been steadily improving over the last few years.

Id get a VW owned anything, I really dont have any issues with them. They seem to be able to keep their hands off their brands for the most part.

It would be nice to have anything other than shithouse Italian eletcrics in the bike.
Thats about the only flaw the bike has.
Even the DB7 had a fucked dash from the factory.

That's what I was thinking. Also, since HD and Porsche (owned by VW) cooperated on an HD bike (vrod), HD might still be able to ship their bikes overseas and still use the MV distribuition network through an agreement between HD and VW...

My only concern is the relatively meaningless
conundrum of an iconic national brand no longer being so....strategically if it goes through it will be great for both parties, but there will always be that little "it's not what it once was" feeling.

I'm the same way ever since Budweiser got bought out.
