Hi ,
My husband has been in the Army National Guard for a year and a half now and is 11b, after spending 6 years in Active duty as a Cav Scout, 19d. He has decided to sign a waiver from the national guard allowing him to volunteer to deploy, as he signed a 2 year stabilization contract. As his unit is almost brand new and isn't set to deploy for at least another two years My question is, when he volunteers to deploy,. is it likely he will be able to get into an open slot, and is it limited to the State he serves in the National Guard?? With everything going on with the Afghanistan, I'm just trying to get as much info as possible, So I can be prepared... If anyone has any info about this sort of thing it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
