For those who remember my last question, I was wanting to work at a bike shop but I was having doubts on my lack of knowledge. I now want to volunteer, meaning "working" for the shop without the pay. So I have a few questions :
1) Will this increase my chances of actually becoming a legit staff later on?
2) Will it be easy for me to volunteer for them? (30%,50%,80% chance of getting in, etc.)
3) What kind of things will I have to do?
4) Can I "shadow" one of their staff members for like a day?
5) Do I actually need to know a fair amount? (I'm wanting to learn)
6) How should I approach them telling I want to volunteer? (Up to the counter, letter, etc.)
So for all the people who already work at shops, please give me your input. Thanks
