Volunteer Opportunities for a Wanna-Be Lawyer?

I need to volunteer this summer and would love to make it meaningful for my future. I want to be a lawyer when I grow up so what are some good places to volunteer? Feel free to add other spots such as schools, libraries, ect.. However, I still need a parent's consent so please keep in mind that the places I volunteer need to accept people my age. Thank you.

P.S. I live in California if that helps with the state guidelines.
 
I don't know how old you are but you could try the courthouse. At the courthouse there is usually a list of open positions. Of course you want to call all lawyers especially in the area you are looking to get into. You may even want to try your local police station. I'm sure they each have their own regulations but that would be a good place to start.

Don't forget to ask your school guidance counselor. They have lots of information on this type of thing.
