Find the volume of the solid generated by revolving the region bounded by the graphs of the equations about the given line.
y= x^(1/2) . y=0, x=4
a) about the x-axis c) the y-axis
b) the line x=4 d) the line x=6
I'm wondering why I got different values for the volume for each problem... I would think that the volume would be constant, but it's not. Can anyone explain why this is? Thanks!
