graph function is, y=cos-1(x), [-1,1]
Need to find the exact volume of the solid revolution formed if the graph is rotated around the y axis.
The range is [0,pi]
I get to the point where it is:
pi X integ[(cos
)^2 dy] with terminals of pi and 0
i dont know where to go from there
i believe some sort of double angle formula is needed but i cant seem to do it.
Thanks
Iceman, you are completely correct, but how did you get the integral?
