Vodafone has mucked up my credit score what shall i do? ?

So me and my partner are applying for a mortgage i had to check my credit rating says its fair, i look and i have missed payments with vodafone for the last 3 yrs, in june 2009 i cancelled and paid off my contract, the womN on the phone said everything has been paid, confirmed no more money was owed, in the last 3 yrs i have no reminder that ?18 is owed, untill i check that i am in the red with them, can i do anything about this?? Im sooo angry !!!
