Vodafone Contract help?

I want to get a £10 month contract for my HTC, 300 minutes and unlimited texts. I know you can't send 2 texts at the same time or picture texts, is there anything else that they will charge extra for?

Also how can I check how many minutes I have left, is there something you can do which will completely stop the call? Also it's unlimited texts so I could send 100000000000000000000000? haha.
