Vizio TV to Panasonic Surround sound?

Is there any way to connect the two so that when the TV is on the sound from the TV is also coming through the surround sound speakers?

Model Numbers:
TV: Vizio e470VA
Surround Sound: Panasonic SA-HT740

Been trying but having issues with figuring it out (if its even possible) Any insight would be great
 
Look on the back of your machines. If optical digital audio is available, use that. Both machines will have the connections labeled clearly on the back. "Audio out" on the tv, "line in", or "optical in" or "digital audio coax in" on the surround stereo. Unless your panasonic is a "theater in a box" in which case it may not have audio inputs.
