Visual arts topic...?

I've covered and MDF shaped number 18, and i wanted the paper I've chosen to look stressed or older around the edges...can someone help with step by step instructions?...the paper is striped with burgundy, browns, green, and creams....please it's my Nephew's card and I want it special, HELP !!!!!!!!
