I was watching a movie in the computer and the graphics suddenly slowed down but not the sound. I restarted several time and I just gained some seconds , then the image slowed down.
This happened in 3 video programs: DivX, mediacenter and quick time.
Do you know how to restore it?

It's much harder for the computer to play graphics than sound, so the sound is doing just fine but the graphics take longer.

To solve this-
1. Close all other programs when watching videos.
2. When the problem starts, pause the video, give the comp. a few seconds to catch up, then start again (might work)
3. Try boosting your overall computer performance by doing a Defragmentation (windows) or Repair Disk Permissions (mac). A quick google search will tell you how to easily do those.
4. If all of that doesn't work, you may want to get a better video card. It is fairly easy to replace these, and if you don't want to, you can have it done at a computer shop.

If you used to play videos just fine on this computer, DO NOT get a new video card, because it means that it is capable of playing the videos, but it is just too stressed with other programs or your computer needs routine fix-ups.
