Vista Notepad Problem with cgi scripts?

I had several scripts that were written in XP notepad. then I got a new laptop with Vista, and all my scripts are screwed up! PLUS when I try to reinstall the scripts on my server, they don't work anymore...When I go back to my XP machine, they look and act normal again!

What happened to notepad? Is Vista notepad different from XP notepad?

Any fixes for Vista notepad?
