A few weeks ago I was troubleshooting a svcshost error and came across an article that mentioned a vista utility that came with vista that gave you a timeline of every application ever installed on your system and also every error. With this utility, I was able to determine that the errors began after I installed Microsoft Silverlight. Never in a million years would have guessed that removing Silverlight would have fixed the problem, but it did. I didn't bookmark the article and now I'm going crazy trying to find this utlity again. I've looked at every utility inside control panel and I can't find it. It was very easy to see when the error began and what you installed right before the error began without wading through the mess of event viewer. Someone please help!!!
