i was wondering what are some things i need to know as far as parents having joint legal custody, while one parent is stationed in another state with the army, and being able to get visitation of the children in the current duty station. being that our court paperwork and visitation schedule for both parents was enacted while i was still home in the army reserve. now that im active duty army stationed in another state, and current on my child support, are there any military clauses or exceptions to me having visitation of our children for part of the year or even anytime. also i would like to add that since i have been away in order to support our boys, she has made it so difficult for me to talk to them. she doesn't outright say no, but all she has to do is not answer her phone, call me back, or send me a text saying i can call back. i have tried so much to talk to her about this, cordially, but she has a habit of turning it into a fight or argument. it's at the point where i don't talk to her at all unless it's about our kids in order to spare our children, her, and me the aggravation. i cant say that she fully cuts off contact but, it's almost like she picks and chooses when i can make contact with them, sometimes for a few weeks at a time. i'm planning on going to jag but was wondering if anyone out there could give me some advice. at this point im am so desperate to figure something out and to resolve this. i miss my boys so much, and i know they miss and love me, they tell me all the time when we actually do get to talk. when my parents get to see them, which has been twice since i left from leave back in july 2010, our boys are always saying how much they miss daddy and wish i was home. i don't know if her intent is to use the boys to hurt me but, it sometimes seems that way. what i don't think she realizes is that regardless of how she feels towards me, its our boys who are being hurt by all this, not just me. anyone with any advice or just anything that can help, i'm begging you please, speak up! any response would be so greatly appreciated! thank you so much for any responses
