virus-please help my brother has got a virus on his pc-he has used avg n spybot?

it did nothing-he used microtrend(think thats the name) and this found it but couldnt get rid-hes then run symantic that says it got rid of it but when he restarted pc it had come back-it says the virus is called vundo-4-it has also disabled the system restore point-can anyone help please in simple jargon please as we are far from computer techies-thankyou x
 
Its malware, the free AVG addition will only remove viruses but not the trojan hosting them...run Malwarebytes and finally run AVG
