It looks as if my PC has a virus.I'm in Safe Mode at the moment because everytime I logon - 5 seconds later it shuts down again - the it goes back to the logon screen then I logon and then it shuts down again, over and over! My antivirus (TrendMicro) hasn't picked anything up but all the applications and programs don't have enough Time to open anyway 'coz it shuts down after I logon. Please Help!

Get a can of compressed air and some q-tips. Take the side panel off and dust out ur computer (it collects around the fans and PSU the most). Then check ALL connections for good seating. When you boot up, boot to Last Known Good Configuration. Good luck.

Download malware anti-bytes for an anti-spyware from:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

And then use avast as an anti-virus:
http://www.avast.com

And then download comodo firewall to prevent other viruses from coming from:
http://www.comodo.com

And then you can download another anti-spyware called SUPERantispyware from:
http://www.superantispyware.com

The computer may be slow after that, if it is download Ccleaner:
http://www.ccleaner.com

It will solve registry problems to make your computer go faster and ti can delete cookies and such

AND REMEMBER! USE THESE IN SAFE MODE!

I don't think it is a virus, it is windows it is crap, it is likely the BSOD (blue screen of death) that you keep on seeing, it can be caused by drivers not being installed and stuff.
