To lay it all out there: I get paid every Friday, used to be by direct deposit. This morning, I discovered fraudulent activity so I froze my bank account. I informed Human Resources and my Payroll Department Immediately, this morning. I have an Aunt who works for an employer, in Human Resources, as well as a significant other who's mother works in Human Resources as well. I have been told that an employer must do what's in their power to get my wages to me as soon as possible, and as close to my scheduled pay date, as possible. I have been told by my Human Resources however, that they must wait till the deposit bounces back and then it must go through the process with payroll that goes out for next week. This does not seem to be the case from the labor laws I have read in regards to Virginia. I have requested to be fedexed a live check, and they have yet to respond. Your input?
