viper bluetooth motorcycle helmet intercom question about pairing?

Im thinking of getting two viper bluetooth version 2 helmets as a bike to bike communication method, we need new helmets anyway so it seems a cheapish option ( budget is important)

I just need to know if anyone has used or tried these and more importantly, what happens with the paired devices when the go out of range, do they re-pair with each other automatically.

We just need a basic bike to bike communication
 
The bluetooth capability of these helmets won't allow bike to bike communication unless it's connected via a pair of walkie talkies or similar with bluetooth capability.
The bluetooth connection is for mobile phones, mp3 players, etc - bluetooth doesn't have the range for intercom unless you're two up on one bike anyway.
You'll need a proper hands free bike to bike intercom.
