Vindictus: How to enable microphone chat in the game? (using laptop)?

I'm pretty sure my hardware isn't the problem cuz I talk to my cousin on Skype a lot and their are no problems with the call. And, I put the audio options as 'high' for volume and 'always on chat'(something along the lines of that); also the windows mode doesn't work either...
How do I know if others can hear me?
