Viewing websites on my phone

I have AT&T and I have access to internet. I'm on a family plan, so my parents take care of the bill. I want to use the internet, but i don't want them to see what i'm viewing. I read that personal websites don't show up, but the times you log on do. If this is true, does the amount of time you spend on Media Net show up, or just the time you access it. And when do i actually "log on" and "log off"? when i hit the Media Net button on my phone?

Also, the website i would be on would be meebo. Its an online messenger. Does each IM sent and received also count as message/text message (even though its through a website and not an IM program), like AIM and MSN messengers on my phone?

Sorry for so many questions.
 
if i am correct i belive that all that shows up on the bill is the amount of data used.. when i would go on the interent it would not show up where i was going it would just show up how many mb or kb i used
 
The bill will show the date and time of when you accessed the internet as well as how many kb you used. It does not show specific websites though.
 
Nothing except the amount used will appear on your bill.

Think of all the people who browse hundreds of websites a day...i do...some of which are on my wireless device. Think of how frantically AT&T would be searching to gather all of the websites you visited. That's also why they can't manage to display the time of each data transaction (meaning it doesn't display the time either).
 
Nicknrm, sorry to contradict ya hun...but here is a screenshot from when I view my full bill online.

It shows the date and time as well as how much data was used.
 
While I agree it would be impossible to track all the websites...if you have a pda style phone the times you see on the bill are a generalization...for example on the Tilt you're just on one permanent connection unless you manually turn it off or lose signal. So I would be online for days and once I log off it will show like Tuesday 6:06pm 23456 kb or something, that doesnt mean that date exactly i used it all. With your BJII looking at your bill it looks like it does track each interaction on and off.

And to the person who asked the initial question--web based programs will only use internet, whereas phone based or downloaded programs like AOL/Yahoo/MSN will count as texts back and forth.
