Vietnam War was a Stalemate?

So ive been really reading about this, and all i hear is that the USA lost. Now that doesnt make sense because the USA destroyed the NVA and vietcong with superior military power by not losing any major battles and suffering less casualties what was it like a 10-1 kill ratio? The Tet Offensive was a major victory for the U.S. as well. So i have been reading the actual END of the war, and people say we lost because S vietnam fell. BUT S vietnam fell AFTER the U.S. left. And at the drawing table with Nixon and N vietnam, it was a stalemate so America could leave while nixon did vietnamization so S vietnam protected itself. And then the damn commies broke the treaty and our liberal hippie congress wouldnt help. So i call that a stalemate on the political side and a victory on the military side, so ultimately a tie in vietnam but S vietnam were the losers. What are your thoughts on this?
