Made the tool this afternoon. Total cost $1.99 and 10 minutes. Used it to change out the Nacelle and inner fairing, thanks for a great tip! Worked flawlessly!
 
Your ignition tool is one sweet tool. Less than a month ago I changed the bars on my bagger. The dealer wanted $120 for the ignition tool. Found out the hard way there are two notches that have to be lined up. I used a screwdriver, a flashlight and a lot of cuss words. After a couple more mods I was getting pretty irritated with the whole thing, and then I saw your video. Great video, very informative and I really, really like that tool.

I would also like to say thanks for the video. A few months ago I changed the bars and controls out for a friend on his ultra. This video was very helpful. It saved me hours of frustration.
 
I've always thought the ignition setup was great. What I've also heard is, it very easy to break the fork lock by twisting the handlebars. Never tried it but if that the case, I don't know why H-D couldn't make the locking mechanism stronger. I know if a thief wants your bike, they're going to get it but there's no reason to making it so easier.
