I've been looking into video game development because I think this is something I could become interested in for a career. I'm wondering what the best corresponding college major's would be best for video game development.
Obviously there are multiple emphasis on game development. I'm interested in the production of the middleware, or game engine aspect. I'm not an artist, and I don't care for programming the final product. I want to get down to the roots of what makes a game run, thinking along the lines of 3d computer graphics and physics engines. I'm into the math aspect, so the 3d computer graphics engines seems like something I could get into.
What corresponding college majors suit this career choice? I've been researching this on the internet, but I'm not getting definitive answers. Thanks in advance.
