Video file storage on a Panasonic HDC-SD10 SD camcorder?

Hi my Grandma has the above camcorder and would like to copy the contents of her SD card to the HDD on her VHS/DVD/HDD recorder.
The recorder is also a Panasonic, so this should be a straightforward procedure. However, when plugged in and both devices on the correct mode, the TV does not recognise any video files whatsoever.
I have now pulled out the SD card and plugged it into my Mac and all it recognises are several "MPEG-2 Transport Stream" files.

Is this save format the reason for why the files are not recognised by the TV machine?
Would it be more straightforward to convert these files using a program such as "FLV Crunch" in order to get these files on to DVD?

There are 390 of these files. I'm sure my Grandma hasn't taken 390 individual clips. This is 12GB card. What can I do in order for the recorder to recognise the files on this card?
