Just had new 18" wheels w/ 225/40 tires fitted to my 07 Mazda 6. I noticed that the whole car, especially the steering wheel, vibrate a little too excessive. Soon after, I added hub rings that matched both the inner diameter of the car and the hub bore diameter on the wheels. First test drive was promising, the next day i was back to square one. Ive been told all sorts of things that could be causing it, needs new alignement, tires/wheels are not properly balance, wheels were not torqued correctly, tires are too new and have not been broken in yet. Wheel/tires have no rubbing issues so size is appropriate for my car. Thanks!
Thanks for the info guys, unfortunately the shop that sold me the wheels and tires wont talk to me (they wanted a lot for installation) because i had another tire shop installed them for me. Im going back to them for another balancing since its been only a week since installation. in the meantime ill be checking for the wheels for distortions.
