I'm not sure what to go to college about ? I want to be a vet but I also want to be a preschool teacher ! I love animals and I also love little children. They both have good odds, but they also have some bad odds.
VET:
8 years of school - $ pricey $ (I live in Ohio, so the closest colleges that offer full vet school are Ohio State University or Michigan State University, which are a few hours from home, this means dorms which are quite expensive.)
I want to get married, and have a family, but the schooling takes a lot from life.
I've lived on a farm for my whole life, always been around animals.
Great demand for veterinarians.
I know it's not about the pay, but vets make very nice $money$.
TEACHER:
Only 4 years of school, so not to bad money wise. (I could go to Bowling Green State University which is close to my house, so I would not need a dorm, and my dad works there so I would get a discount.)
I've been a baby-sitter for many years, and I'm great with younger children.
This would not keep me in school forever so I could marry and have children easier.
There isn't as much of a demand for teachers. (even teachers are getting laid off in ohio
)
And they don't make quiet as much as a vet, but like I said it's not about the $money$.
I would just like your opinion on what to do, I'm very torn between vet or preschool teacher !
