Very sharp pain in my inner thigh, can barely move it much less walk, what could it be?

After I woke up this morning I noticed my upper inner thigh was hurting, and when I went to get up I immediately screamed out in pain. It felt like someone was stretching out nerves and slicing them with a knife. I could barely walk, and lifting my leg up was pretty much impossible due to the amount of pain that would result. When i'm not moving it there's still a dull pain. I took some pain medicine and it's a little more bearable now, but lifting it up is still extremely hard. On a scale of one to ten, when I walk it's 6.5/10 and when I lift my leg up it's a pretty solid 9/10. Also, my knee on my other leg is hurting pretty badly as well. I have a friend of the family's wedding to go to tomorrow with my boyfriend, and I definitely can't be in this kind of pain for it. Any advice on how I could get rid of it or what could be going on? I don't like taking pills unless absolutely necessary..
Kinda a weird muscle to pull while you're sleeping though, isn't it? And why did it start hurting the same time as my knee?
