career could I pursue realistically? I've always wanted to know the answer to life's biggest questions, like why are we here? Who else is out there? What is the meaning of life? Is there life out there besides here on Earth and what that means about our existence. Who or what created all of this?

I believe, along with others, that the answers are not only found here on our planet but out there, in space, on other worlds, in the universe.

That's on a personal level but I'm also intrigued by space, the universe, astronomy in general. I've watched a lot of movies and documentaries on Apollo, the universe, telescopes, all things astronomy. It's something that has become a fun, interesting, exciting hobby yet something I hold special devotion and admiration for.

So, being that I went to college but didn't finish because I fell out of love with my major and I'm now working full time yet know it isn't my career job, what can I realistically pursue as far as a job in astronomy?

I got straight A's all throughout grammar and high school yet math was always my Achilles' heel, not to mention the fact I hate it, I think. I always liked science but I think I'm a little too old to be a biochemist and being an engineer doesn't intrigue me. Getting a four year degree in astronomy seems out of the question based on all I've mentioned.

So, I ask you all, the Yahoo! Answers crew... what could I pursue realistically in astronomy that I can make a career out of it, something that I can make good money yet I go to work not because I live to work but because I work to live and work at something I love, like astronomy, all the while doing my small part to help humanity answer life's biggest questions?
