Hello. I posted on The BC board and I wanted to post here as well. Can someone tell me the signs of Breast cancer? I ended up in the emergency room late last night because I was in the shower, I had shaved my under arms and then when I was shaving my leg, I noticed blood running down my leg. Now, I had a mamo 2-4 months ago (can't remember exactly when) and everything was fine. When I went to the ER, I was seen by the Dr. He did a breast exam and said that he didn't feel anything unusual and that he could see where the blood was coming from and mentioned that it looked like a cut. Well, I knew that! He said that if there were signs of BC, the nipple would not look like it was cut. Is that true?? He also said that there would likely be visable signs such as a lump or redness if BC was present. Is that true? I don't remember cutting the area but the cut looks to be at the side of the nipple or maybe a little on top of it. I will follow up with another mamo, but I just wanted to get your opinion. Also, is the nipple area thin skinned to where it would bleed for awhile?
