Very big masterpage (ASP.Net) problem, need only one load?

I have an asp.net site with masterpage that has a dictionary with 5000 words on it from the DB (Ms SQL DB)

can I put the dictionary in the user session instead reloading it over and over again? if ill do that, it will help?

if not, it is possible to make the site that only the content refreshed and not the master?
