vertigo/dizzy spells

i have been having them for a few months now. i dont have headaches. i keep pretty well hydrated. it usually happens when i stand up, and sometimes my vision goes black for a few moments. any ideas? thank you in advance
 
Sounds like orthostatic hypotension, a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing.

Lots of different things can cause OH; anemia or blood loss, medication side effect, diabetes, hypothyroid, atherosclerosis, infections, inner ear problems, etc.
 
i havent been tested in awhile but last i was no anemia. no meds.no infection and no diabetes. i dont think its an inner ear problem (no pain or hearing issues). but im going to explore some of the options you listed, thank you :)
