Recently I have been having back pain (about 2 weeks now) in my lower back, I'm guessing around the L4 vertebrae. It even sticks out a little. When I was a kid I was diagnosed with spondylolysis and had quite a bit of pain again in my late teens. I'm 26 now, I train in Kung Fu at least 3 times a week and my core is much stronger now than it ever was as a teenager or a kid, so I was surprised when it started hurting again since I felt like it was in good shape. I went to my primary doctor because my insurance requires a referral for a specialist to do an MRI, but the specialist wouldn't accept it. I'm really upset that I'm in pain and it is taking so long just to get an image, and I don't know if it's possible that my condition has progressed to something more serious. So I am wondering, does anyone here have one of their lurabar vertebrae sticking out, does it cause you pain, and have you been diagnosed with spondylolysis or something else? Also, have any of you tried inversion therapy and do you find that it helps or hurts your condition?
Thanks
